Overview: Those who frequently book flights with Delta will benefit most from what this card has to offer. Cardholders receive SkyMiles for every purchase they make with their card, and extra miles are awarded for purchases made at Delta airlines and other select retail locations. The first purchase made with the card and/or the issuance of an additional card awards a large number of bonus miles to the cardholder. Collected miles can be redeemed for Delta flights. Miles expire after three years, unless the cardholder takes a flight with Delta during that time. In addition, the cardholder is not eligible to receive extra SkyMiles for purchases once they collect a certain number of miles in a single year. There is an annual fee for carrying this card, although it is waived during the first year, and the APR is quite high compared to many other cards.
