Chase.com/GetSlateEdge Credit Card Mail Offer

chase.com/getslateedge is a secure website from Chase for customers who receive a special credit card offer in the mail. You enter a unique invitation code from the mailer to access a pre-filled application for a potentially better deal than what's publicly advertised.

Here is how the process works:

1. Chase sends a personalized offer in the mail to a prospective customer who meets certain criteria. This offer will include a unique invitation code and instructions to visit chase.com/getslateedge to apply.

2. The recipient navigates to the website and enters their invitation code and sometimes their ZIP code.

3. The website pulls up a pre-filled application with some of the recipient's identifying information, like their name, address, and the last four digits of their Social Security number.

4. The recipient completes any missing information, reviews the terms and conditions, and submits the application.

Receiving a "pre-approved" mail offer from Chase does not guarantee that your application will be approved. It simply means that based on a preliminary review, you met the initial criteria for consideration.

The final approval is determined after a formal application is submitted and a "hard pull" of your credit report is performed, which can temporarily lower your credit score.

* See the online chase.com/getslateedge (www.chase.com/getslateedge ) credit card application for details about terms and conditions and offers.

FICO® Credit Scores

A FICO® Score is a proprietary credit score created by the Fair Isaac Corporation (FICO). About 90% of top U.S. lenders use it to make lending decisions.

FICO® Score Ranges:

  • Exceptional: 800–850
  • Very Good: 740–799
  • Good: 670–739
  • Fair: 580–669
  • Poor: 300–579

FICO categorizes scores as Poor, Fair, Good, Very Good, and Exceptional.

What is a Credit Score?

A credit score is a three-digit number (300–850) predicting your creditworthiness. Lenders use it to evaluate risk and determine rates and terms for credit.

Why it matters: A higher score can help you qualify for loans and lower interest rates. A lower score can lead to higher borrowing costs or application denials.

FICO® Credit Score Facts

Key Characteristics:
  • Three-Digit Number: Summarizes your credit risk.
  • Range: 300–850; higher scores = lower risk.
  • Data Source: Uses your credit reports from Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion.
  • Industry Standard: Lenders rely on FICO for mortgages, auto loans, and credit cards.

Note: Credit scores reflect your creditworthiness but do not guarantee approval for any credit product.
