If your Citi® Diamond Preferred® Card invitation code isn't working, don't assume you entered it incorrectly. There are several things worth checking first, including the characters in the code, your last name, and whether the offer is still available.

Citi's invitation system requires the code to be entered correctly. Look closely at each character on your offer, particularly if the code contains letters and numbers that can look alike.
If you're typing the code manually, double-check every character before submitting it. If you copied the code electronically, make sure you didn't accidentally include an extra space before or after it.
The Citi invitation page also asks for your Last Name. Enter your last name exactly as it appears with the offer. If the name shown on the invitation is spelled differently from what you normally use, the information on the invitation is what you should try entering.
If the code and last name are correct but the invitation still isn't being accepted, check the offer for an expiration date or other information indicating when it can be used. An invitation that is no longer active may not work even when you've entered everything correctly.
Also make sure you're using the website address provided with your invitation rather than arriving at a different Citi application page.
If you've checked the characters, entered your last name correctly, and confirmed that you're using the appropriate application page, you can contact Citi using the telephone number provided with your offer and ask about the invitation.
You also have another option if you simply want to apply for the card without using the invitation code.

A FICO® Score is a proprietary credit score created by the Fair Isaac Corporation (FICO). About 90% of top U.S. lenders use it to make lending decisions.
FICO® Score Ranges:
FICO categorizes scores as Poor, Fair, Good, Very Good, and Exceptional.
A credit score is a three-digit number (300–850) predicting your creditworthiness. Lenders use it to evaluate risk and determine rates and terms for credit.
Why it matters: A higher score can help you qualify for loans and lower interest rates. A lower score can lead to higher borrowing costs or application denials.
Note: Credit scores reflect your creditworthiness but do not guarantee approval for any credit product.
