Net First Platinum Card Reviews: $750 Horizon Outlet Credit Line

The Net First Platinum Card is a $750 merchandise credit line designed for people who may have difficulty qualifying for traditional credit, but it is important to understand what you are actually getting. Net First Platinum can only be used at TheHorizonOutlet.com and is not a Visa, Mastercard, or general-purpose credit card. The current agreement requires no credit bureau check and no employment requirement, and it currently has $0 annual and monthly membership fees and a $0 activation fee. The account also does not report to the credit bureaus, so it is not a credit-building product.

What Is the Net First Platinum Card?

Net First Platinum is best understood as a store-only merchandise credit line. If you are approved, you can use the account to purchase eligible merchandise through TheHorizonOutlet.com, but you cannot use it at other retailers or anywhere that accepts Visa or Mastercard.

The current agreement specifically states that Net First Platinum is not a Visa, Mastercard, or debit card. There is also no down payment requirement for purchases made through the Horizon Outlet.

This distinction is important because someone searching for a Net First Platinum review may be looking for a traditional credit card they can use for everyday purchases. That is not what this account provides.

How Does the $750 Net First Platinum Credit Line Work?

The current offer provides a $750 credit line that can be used for eligible purchases at TheHorizonOutlet.com. You can use the available credit to purchase merchandise from the online store and then make monthly payments on the balance.

The current agreement requires a minimum monthly payment of $25, or the entire balance if it is less than $25. Payments can be made in full at any time, and payments are applied to unpaid purchases in the order those purchases were made.

There is also a $100 gift card associated with the current offer. The gift card is valid for six months from account creation and can only be used at TheHorizonOutlet.com. It cannot be used to pay shipping, has no cash value, and a purchase exceeding the gift card balance must be paid with a debit or credit card.

Who Might Need Net First Platinum?

Net First Platinum is primarily relevant to someone who has already had difficulty getting approved for traditional credit and needs a way to finance purchases from the Horizon Outlet.

That could include someone with damaged credit or no established credit history who does not want to put down a security deposit for a traditional secured card. The account does not require a credit bureau check or employment verification, although the agreement says Horizon may be unable to open an account if it cannot verify the applicant's identity or if the applicant does not meet its ability-to-pay requirements.

The more important question is whether you actually need purchasing power at the Horizon Outlet. If you need a credit card that can be used for groceries, gas, restaurants, bills, or purchases at ordinary retailers, Net First Platinum will not meet that need.

Does Net First Platinum Require a Credit Check?

No credit bureau check is required to apply for Net First Platinum. The current agreement also states that there are no employment requirements and no restrictions based on a past bankruptcy history.

This is one of the main reasons the account may appeal to people with damaged credit or no traditional credit history. A credit score is not used in the same way it would be with a conventional credit card application.

However, no credit check does not mean every application is automatically guaranteed. The agreement says the company may decline an application if identity cannot be verified or applicable ability-to-pay requirements are not met.

Does Net First Platinum Build Credit?

No. Net First Platinum does not currently report account activity to any credit bureau. That means using the account and making your monthly payments will not establish the normal payment history that can help build a credit score through traditional credit reporting.

This is an important difference between Net First Platinum and a conventional credit card designed for rebuilding credit. The account may provide access to merchandise financing, but it should not be viewed as a way to improve your credit score.

What Does Net First Platinum Cost?

The current Net First Platinum agreement is considerably different from older information that can still be found online. The current pricing summary lists a $0 annual membership fee, $0 monthly membership fee, and $0 account activation fee. It also lists no APR.

This is worth pointing out because some older Net First Platinum reviews still describe monthly membership fees. Those reviews may accurately describe an earlier version of the product, but they do not reflect the current June 29, 2026 agreement.

What Is the Biggest Limitation of Net First Platinum?

The biggest limitation is simple: you can only use the credit line at TheHorizonOutlet.com.

This means the $750 credit line does not give you $750 of general purchasing power. You have to find merchandise at the Horizon Outlet that you actually want or need before the credit line has much practical value.

Customer complaints about older versions of Net First Platinum have frequently focused on this issue. Some customers said they expected a conventional credit card and were disappointed to discover that the account could only be used at the Horizon Outlet. Other complaints have focused on the selection or value of merchandise available through the store.

The current terms make the store-only restriction clear, but it remains the most important limitation to understand before applying.

You Need Another Card to Pay for Shipping

There is another practical limitation that can be easy to overlook. Shipping charges cannot be paid with your Net First Platinum credit line. The current agreement requires you to use a valid and active U.S. credit card or debit card to pay shipping charges for Horizon Outlet purchases. Shipping must be paid in full before the merchandise is shipped, and the agreement states that shipping fees are non-refundable.

In other words, having a $750 Net First Platinum credit line does not mean you can complete a Horizon Outlet purchase without another payment method.

What Can You Buy With Net First Platinum?

The credit line is intended for merchandise available through TheHorizonOutlet.com. The store has offered categories that include clothing, electronics, toys, household products, tools, and other merchandise.

The important point is that the available merchandise determines how useful the $750 credit line actually is. You cannot take the credit line somewhere else and use it for an item that is not available through the Horizon Outlet.

Net First Platinum Customer Complaints

When looking at Net First Platinum complaints, it is important to separate complaints about the current product from complaints about older versions of the account.

Older customer complaints have included confusion about the account being store-only, dissatisfaction with the merchandise selection, shipping costs, and historical monthly fees. Some older reviews also complained that the account did not provide the credit-building benefit they expected.

That history is relevant when researching Net First Platinum, but it should not be confused with the current pricing. The current agreement has $0 annual and monthly membership fees and a $0 activation fee.

What Happened to the Older Net First Platinum Terms?

Net First Platinum has changed substantially over the years. Older reviews describe versions of the account with monthly membership fees and different credit-reporting practices. That is one reason someone researching the card today can find conflicting information about its cost and whether it reports to the credit bureaus.

The current agreement is dated June 29, 2026 and states that the account does not report to any credit bureau. It also lists $0 annual membership, $0 monthly membership, and a $0 activation fee.

There is also a historical regulatory issue worth knowing about. In September 2024, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau sued Reliant Holdings, doing business as Horizon Card Services, and its CEO, alleging deceptive and abusive practices involving Horizon's older credit products. The CFPB complaint specifically included Net First Platinum among the Horizon-branded products. The case was voluntarily dismissed with prejudice on April 23, 2025, so the allegations should not be presented as findings against the company.

Net First Platinum Pros and Cons

Potential advantages:

  • $750 merchandise credit line
  • No credit bureau check
  • No employment requirement
  • No annual membership fee under the current agreement
  • No monthly membership fee under the current agreement
  • No account activation fee
  • No credit-bureau reporting
  • No down payment requirement for Horizon Outlet purchases

Important limitations:

  • Can only be used at TheHorizonOutlet.com
  • Cannot be used as a general-purpose Visa or Mastercard
  • Does not build credit because the account does not report to the credit bureaus
  • Shipping must be paid separately with a valid U.S. credit or debit card
  • The usefulness of the $750 credit line depends on finding merchandise you actually want at the Horizon Outlet

Is Net First Platinum Worth Considering?

Net First Platinum makes the most sense as a limited merchandise financing option for someone who has difficulty qualifying for traditional credit and actually wants to purchase merchandise from the Horizon Outlet.

The current $0 fee structure makes the account substantially different from older versions described in many online reviews. However, the two biggest limitations remain: the $750 credit line can only be used at the Horizon Outlet, and the account does not build credit.

If those limitations are acceptable and you have a specific reason to shop at the Horizon Outlet, Net First Platinum may be worth considering. If your goal is to obtain a card for everyday purchases or rebuild your credit history, this is not designed for that purpose.

FICO® Credit Scores

A FICO® Score is a proprietary credit score created by the Fair Isaac Corporation (FICO). About 90% of top U.S. lenders use it to make lending decisions.

FICO® Score Ranges:

  • Exceptional: 800–850
  • Very Good: 740–799
  • Good: 670–739
  • Fair: 580–669
  • Poor: 300–579

FICO categorizes scores as Poor, Fair, Good, Very Good, and Exceptional.

What is a Credit Score?

A credit score is a three-digit number (300–850) predicting your creditworthiness. Lenders use it to evaluate risk and determine rates and terms for credit.

Why it matters: A higher score can help you qualify for loans and lower interest rates. A lower score can lead to higher borrowing costs or application denials.

FICO® Credit Score Facts

Key Characteristics:
  • Three-Digit Number: Summarizes your credit risk.
  • Range: 300–850; higher scores = lower risk.
  • Data Source: Uses your credit reports from Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion.
  • Industry Standard: Lenders rely on FICO for mortgages, auto loans, and credit cards.

Note: Credit scores reflect your creditworthiness but do not guarantee approval for any credit product.
