Citi Costco Card Invitation Code: How to Use Your Offer

If you received a mail offer for the Costco Anywhere Visa® Card by Citi, your invitation may include a 10-digit invitation code that allows you to access the offer online. Here's how to find your code, use it, and what you can do if you don't have one.

Where to Find Your Citi Costco Invitation Code

Your invitation code should be included with the mail offer you received from Citi. Look for a 10-digit number identified as an invitation code, certificate number, or similar offer number.

Your mailing may also include a QR code or a specific website address that takes you directly to the page for entering your offer information.

How to Use Your Citi Costco Card Invitation Code

Start by going to the website address printed on your Citi offer. If your mailer includes a QR code, you can scan it with your phone to access the same application page.

The Citi invitation page asks for your Invitation Code and Last Name. Enter both exactly as they appear on your offer, then select Continue to retrieve the offer.

Once your offer is retrieved, you can continue through the application process. The invitation page states that you can receive a decision in 60 seconds or less.

Can You Apply by Phone?

Yes. If your mail offer provides a toll-free telephone number, you can use that number to apply or get assistance with the offer. Have your invitation code available when you call.

Using the phone number printed on your specific mailing is important because it is provided specifically for the offer you received.

Does an Invitation Code Guarantee Approval?

No. An invitation code identifies the offer sent to you, but it does not guarantee that your application will be approved. Citi still makes the final credit decision after you apply.

Because the Costco Anywhere Visa® Card by Citi is available to Costco members, you should also have an active Costco membership if you intend to apply for the card.

Don't Have a Citi Costco Invitation Code?

If you didn't receive an invitation, can't find your code, or simply prefer to apply directly, you have another option. You can use the link below to view the available offer and see whether you may qualify without entering a mailed invitation code.

➤ Check the Costco Anywhere Visa® Card by Citi Offer

This gives you a direct way to explore the card without having to locate or enter an invitation code from a Citi mailing.

What If Your Invitation Code Doesn't Work?

If you've entered the invitation code and last name exactly as shown on your offer and Citi still won't accept the information, we have a separate guide that explains what to check and what you can do next.

➤ Citi Costco Card Invitation Code Not Working? Find Out What to Do

If you received an invitation, use the code and your last name on the website provided with your offer. If you don't have a code or would rather apply directly, you can use the application option above instead.

FICO® Credit Scores

A FICO® Score is a proprietary credit score created by the Fair Isaac Corporation (FICO). About 90% of top U.S. lenders use it to make lending decisions.

FICO® Score Ranges:

  • Exceptional: 800–850
  • Very Good: 740–799
  • Good: 670–739
  • Fair: 580–669
  • Poor: 300–579

FICO categorizes scores as Poor, Fair, Good, Very Good, and Exceptional.

What is a Credit Score?

A credit score is a three-digit number (300–850) predicting your creditworthiness. Lenders use it to evaluate risk and determine rates and terms for credit.

Why it matters: A higher score can help you qualify for loans and lower interest rates. A lower score can lead to higher borrowing costs or application denials.

FICO® Credit Score Facts

Key Characteristics:
  • Three-Digit Number: Summarizes your credit risk.
  • Range: 300–850; higher scores = lower risk.
  • Data Source: Uses your credit reports from Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion.
  • Industry Standard: Lenders rely on FICO for mortgages, auto loans, and credit cards.

Note: Credit scores reflect your creditworthiness but do not guarantee approval for any credit product.
